Ellen Says No had our last show on June 4th 2009
at the Columbia City Theater
with Our good friends J-Minus
A huge thanks to everone who has supported us over the years. It has been a very interesting journey and we have met alot of great people along the way. The road may not have ended where we had hoped, but we had some good times.
Specifically I remember some annoyed neigbors, wild parties w/ both partial and full nudity, gravel theft, all night jam sessions, National tour w/ transmission dying in Paso Robles, wild bandana bar girls,
strippers in Houston who attempted to dance to Nobody (ugh), A special screaming girl in new york, driving with the windows down in winter to keep our food from spoiling,
the kind folks in Niagra falls and in Michigan who helped us throw awesome house parties, our bad ass ninja 2nd drummer, our intense first drummer, and our high energy newest drummer,
playing the showbox to 700 people, visiting the "real life" bat cave, runnign our own outdoor live music shows, outliving more bars and venues that I can remember, getting drunk and chasing the dog around until I slid into a table full of beer bottles,
scheduling a show in Tuscon and Houston on consecutive nights and just barely making it to Houston in time, lots of arguments over stupid things, lots more intense and creative collaboration, all of Jon's old girlfriends who were the inspiration for most of our songs, and a ton of great people who I wished we had kept in better touch with.
As a thanks to everyone who was supported us- our songs are available for download below.(Wave format- not that MP3 crap). There are even a few new song we recorded last month.
While we are being nostalgic- I have also posted links to the "Louise the Alcholic Worm" comic strips that George Freitag did for our website when we very first started out.
I figured there are some of you out there who may also have some good memories of the band. Please share them in the guesbook here: click me for guestbook
Also if you picked up a "Curtain Call" CD. There is a remastered version for download here that is much cleaner sounding.
